National Competence Centers for Social Innovation Working Group
The National Competence Centres for Social Innovation Working Group (NCC WG) was established in 2023 under the ESF+ Community of Practice on Social Innovation (SI CoP) with the main goal to drive a cocreation process with the purpose of producing a common framework and guiding principles for all National Competence Centers for Social Innovation (NCCs) development and capacity-building.
The NCC WG, spin-off of the SI CoP, is meant to specifically ensure the active collaboration between National Competence Centres for Social Innovation and/or Consortia and the European Competence Centre for Social Innovation. See the Approach.
This WG will aim to create added value and enhance the impact of NCCs through:
- exploiting synergies between their activities;
- sharing knowledge, know-how, tools, experience and good practice;
- jointly developing professional competences by way of continuous quality improvement.
The working group of NCCs will thus help the beneficiaries to achieve their objectives and thereby will contribute to building a stronger European Social Innovation Community.
Main activities
- The development of a common ecosystem mapping and operational model framework for the collaborative assessment and monitoring of the European SI ecosystem in real time. SI ecosystem mapping and operational model framework.
- The self-assessment process (conducted in collaboration with all NCCs), designed to evaluate the competencies developed in each Member State. Based on gaps identified, competencies could be acquired or reinforced through a learning community.
- NCC WG activities are aligned and coordinated with the current EU-level Call “Building-up and Consolidating the Capacity of the National Competence Centre for Social Innovation”.
